Out With The Old: Train Ticket/Railroad Birthday Invitations

Here is a birthday invitation i did for a client that had commissioned me to work on several projects for them: 

1- their wedding invitations, 2- their wedding program, 3- their wedding photography, 4- their 1st family pictures, 5- their little boy's first birthday party pictures and finally, when their baby boy turned two, they asked me to create some invitations for his birthday party. the suite included a design that replicated a train ticket, the back (which i wont show here due to privacy purposes) had a picture of their son that all invitees, regardless if they could come, could save as a keepsake. and the party bags were craft bags with a folded top sealed with my tag.

Dedication invites for the Stevens family

In June 2009, i had the opportunity to design some memorial ceremony invites for the Stevens family. Sadly, they had lost their little girl, Jacinda, in a car accident. The family contacted me again this past April. I was so ecstatic to hear they had just had twin boys! Ms Stevens wanted to go with the same layout: a 6 inch square (metallic) invite: logo on front, an insert and coordinating envelopes.

Here are some pics of the set. I dabbled with Jacinda's logo and realized. Twins=Yin Yang! Superb idea :) Continuity was an important factor in the design. I wanted to show that she is still in their hearts as they embark on a new chapter of their life as a family.

The color scheme was green, blue with yellow as the accent color:

Baby Shower

Over the summer i put together a surprise baby shower for a friend. the theme was sweets and treats. Id love to post more photos but I'm almost positive some of the folks that attended wouldn't want to be featured on my blog.

1 year old portraits of Gracie

An explanation will come soon! For now I'll just blog about it. My neighbors daughter is turning one. So during the heatwave she and I took Gracie to the Botanic Gardens in Brooklyn to shoot some portraits.

I don't really delve into my personal life to much as i want it to be clear; I prefer only my crafts to be blogged about here. But, shortly after I did the Mike and Juliet Show, I got a job offer as the Press and Events Manager at a non profit organization. One of my new coworkers is throwing a baby shower and requested my help. heres a draft of the invite.
